500kV powerlines do not belong in our valley.
SDG&E's Golden Pacific Powerlink would route extra-high-voltage transmission towers through Temecula Creek — serving San Diego and Orange counties while delivering no benefit to the Riverside County residents who'd bear the impact.

What's at stake
The proposed corridor runs along the Temecula Creek open-space conservation land — past Vail Ranch Middle School, the Santa Margarita River, and Pechanga — on a 500-kilovolt line built to move power between Imperial Valley and a new substation north of SONGS. Local government can't veto it, but the public record can shape the CPUC's decision.
This site organizes the research, the timeline, and the ways to make your voice part of that record.
